Marek Kamiński is a Polish polar explorer, author and photographer. He is well known for being the only person who reached the North Pole and South Pole in the same year.
1996 Kaminski launched a foundation to help young disabled people and enable them to visit the Polar Regions. The foundation is involved in creating and running educational programs, fund-raising for prostheses for those in need, and integrated camps for the disabled people. In 2003 he decided to organize an expedition to both poles with the 15-year old disabled Jasiek Mela who lost his arm and a leg two years before.
LYOFOOD was the official partner of this expedition. During their hike to the Poles, Kaminski and Mela were eating LYO EXPEDITION freeze dry Outdoor Food. Since then Marek is always coming back to us when he needs expedition food.
